Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the South West has assured President Goodluck Jonathan of its resolve to work towards his victory in the 2015 presidential election, saying there is no alternative to Jonathan in 2015.

Rising from a meeting of the PDP National Campaign Council in the South- West in Akure, Ondo State capital, the leadership of the PDP in the zone said President Jonathan deserved a second term in office considering his achievements which they said cut across all sectors of the economy.

In a communiqué issued at the end of the meeting, the PDP leaders in the six South-West states of Oyo, Osun, Lagos, Ondo, Ekiti and Ogun, expressed confidence in the ability of President Jonathan to lead Nigeria to the promised land.

The PDP leaders at the meeting including Governors Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State and Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State also took a swipe at the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), General Mohammadu Buhari, saying “judging by his temperament, political antecedents and intellectual capacity, Buhari, the APC candidate is unfit to be the president of the country.”

The PDP leaders, therefore, urged the people of the region to support Jonathan in his desire to transform the country.
